Fosston at Goodridge/Grygla

The Fosston Greyhounds fell behind 7-0 and trailed by as many as ten points in the first half but rallied to win at Goodridge Thursday night 61-41. The Greyhounds ended the first half on a 13-3 run and tied the game at 27-27 with 29 seconds left in the half. Darren Skala hit a three point shot 17 seconds into the second half to give the Greyhounds the lead for good at 30-27. Skala was one of four Greyhounds in double figures as he hit three 3 pointers and ended up with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Carsen Boushee and Zach Theis each scored 13 points for Fosston as the Greyhounds improve to 18-4 overall. Aaron Norland was also in double figures for Fosston with 11 points. Lewis Jones led the Chargers with 15 points as Goodridge/Grygla falls to 12-9 overall. The Greyhounds shot 8 of 9 at the free throw line while the Chargers were 1 of 2 at the stripe. The Greyhounds outscored the Chargers 34-14 in the second half. Fosston won the “B” Squad game 56-29 while Goodridge/Grygla won the “C” Squad game 51-40. The Greyhounds will play Ada-Borup-West on Saturday, February 18th in the Pine to Prairie Conference championship game at Win-E-Mac (2:00 pm on 106.5 FM, 96.7 FM & Your Live Event). The Chargers have a makeup game on Friday, February 17th against Warren-Alvarado-Oslo at Goodridge.
