Tessa Manecke led Fosston with 9 kills as the Greyhounds won in straight sets on Parents Night in Lake Park Tuesday night. Fosston closed the first set with a 15-6 run to win 25-22. The Greyhounds controlled the second set to win 25-11 but had to fight hard to win the third set 25-21. Lexi Mahlen added 8 kills and 3 service aces for Fosston as the Greyhounds improve to 16-8 overall and 6-2 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Taylor Haugrud, Kenna Mattson and Keela Johnson each had 5 kills for Lake Park-Audubon as the Raiders fall to 3-19 overall and 0-7 in the conference. Both teams recorded 8 service aces and 5 service errors in the match. The Greyhounds return to action on Thursday, October 12th when they host East Grand Forks Sacred Heart while the Raiders also play their next match on Thursday at Bagley. Fosston won the “B” Squad match 2-1 with Fosston also winning the “C” Squad match 2-0.
