Sophomore Kaydence White recorded 20 kills as the Kittson County Central Bearcats defeated the Fosston Greyhounds 3-1 in the Section 8A semifinals at the Crookston High School Gym. The Bearcats never trailed in the first set but Fosston jumped out to an 11-3 lead in the second set to win 25-16 and tie the match at 1-1. The Bearcats won the third and fourth sets by the same score of 25-14. Lexi Mahlen led Fosston with 9 kills and Tessa Manecke added 7 kills as the Greyhounds end their season with an overall record of 19-11. The Bearcats will take a record of 22-9 into the championship match Friday, November 3rd at UMC in Crookston.
