VB: Hawley 3 Frazee 0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-14)

Hawley’s volleyball team improved to 4-0 in the Heart O’Lakes Conference with a three set sweep over Frazee Thursday night in Hawley.

The opening set was tied eight times…the last time at 21-all before Hawley took advantage of a Frazee service error, two ball handling errors and a collision by two would-be attackers to give the Nuggets a 25-21 win.

The next two sets were easier for Hawley…25-15 and 25-14.

Junior Ingrid Rustad had 12 kills and one block assist for the Nuggets, who improve to 8-3 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

Elsie Ratz, Brynn Larson and Jayden Sonnenberg had three kills apiece for Frazee (5-8, 0-2).  Hornets libero Hailey Selly had a strong game with several key digs for Frazee.
