The Hillsboro/Central Valley Burro defense set the tone early in defeating the Carrington Cardinals 74-41. The Burro defense limited the Cardinals to a single made free throw during a 20-1 run that stretched over the first and second quarters to lead 34-15 at halftime. Carrington’s offense picked up with a 17-point third quarter but the Burros defense would not slow down as they used their advantage inside to continue to build onto their lead. On Senior Night, all seven of the Burro Seniors were able to score in the win.
