International Falls at Section 7A Cross Country
The International Falls cross country teams competed in the Section 7A meet in Cloquet yesterday. On the boys side, the Broncos placed 13th as a team with a score of 296. Greenway-Nashwauk-Keewatin is the champion with a score of 48 and Esko was second with 70. Individually, senior Anthony Scholler was 19th which was 3 spots out of going to state but says he did his best.
Senior Parker Sivonen was 62nd and says he almost got to his personal best time
Other boys finishers were Colton Hollis in 79th, Camden Deedrick 80th, Carter Line 87th, Wyatt Jantzen 88th, and Max Youso 101st. Those last two boys were running their first ever varsity race.
For the Bronco girls, they took 10th place as a team with a score of 211. Carlton with a score of 75 is the section champion with South Ridge in 2nd with 91. Abbi Hutchinson missed qualifying for state by 3 places as she finished 12th. Senior Ryan Ford came in in 35th place and says it was a good day overall.
Other Bronco girls finishers saw Jaeleigh Carlson place 59th, Nora Sullivan 61st, Bailey Herberg 63rd, Madalynn Saxton 72nd, and Summer Hesseldahl 78th.
