Recap

In a game heard on Lakes Country 104.1 and rjbroadcasting.com, the Broncos faced the Virginia Blue Devils.  The Falls struck first as they scored 2 runs in the second inning as Sylvia Valenzuela and Havyn Pelland came across the plate.  The Blue Devils would score one run in the second and third to tie the game at 2.  Pelland would score again in the 4th as International Falls regained the lead but Virginia scored in the 5th to tie it a 3.  In the top of the 7th, Kale Taylor led off with a single and Izzy Valenzuela walked.  Gracie Swenson then ripped a double to the fence and the Broncos took a 5-3 lead.  Virginia led off the bottom of the 7th with a ground out, a single, and a pop out to put the Broncos one out from advancing to the next round, but 2 singles and a double by Chance Colbert scored 3 runs and the Falls season came to an end by a final of 6-5.  Brooklyn Tomczak had 2 hits in the game and Swenson pitched the entire game striking out 5.
