Fosston 3 Northome-Kelliher 0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-13)

The Fosston Greyhounds advanced in the Section 8A Tournament with a 3-0 win over the Kelliher/Northome Mustangs. It was far from an easy win for Fosston as there were 16 ties in the first set which Fosston won 25-21. The Greyhounds won the second set 25-23 and jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the third set to win 25-13. Tessa Manecke recorded 9 kills and Brynlea Mahlen added 8 kills for Fosston as the Greyhounds improve their overall record to 18-10. Ella Thayer led Kelliher/Northome with 6 kills as the Mustangs end their season at 8-14. Fosston will face the Blackduck Drakes Friday night at the Fosston Gym (7:00 pm on 96.7 FM) in the Section 8A Quarterfinals. Fosston and Blackduck did not play each other during the regular season.
