Littlefork-Big Falls at Indus
Recap
The border battle in volleyball between Littlefork Big Falls and Indus took place last night at Indus. In a very warm and humid gym, the two teams battled for nearly 2.5 hours with Indus coming out on top in 5 sets.
The Trojans took Set 1 by a score of 25-17, but the Vikings came back in Set 2 to win 31-29. Both teams had multiple set points but it was LBF that tied the match at a set each. After a 10 minute break due to the heat, Indus battled back to take Set 3 25-20 but the Littlefork Big Falls would not go away taking Set 4 25-19. LBF took an early 9-2 lead in the deciding 5th set but the Trojans hung in there to win the 5th set 15-13. After the match, interim head coach Michelle Misner says it was a team effort.
LBF served well in the match as Donilee Heppner had 5 aces, Aspen Watson 4 and Anissa Wimmer 3.
