Littlefork-Big Falls at International Falls Broncos

In a match heard on Lakes Country 104.1 and rjbroadcasting.com and seen on Your Live Event.com, the International Falls volleyball team hosted the Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings in the Battle by the Border. The first set was tight early as the two teams were tied at 7 however from there, the Broncos would finish the set on an 18-2 run including 11 straight to close out the set with Lola Valenzuela serving. The 2nd set was more of the same early as Valenzuela served during a 10-point run by the Falls as they won the set 25-8. The 3rd set was much like the first as LBF stayed with the Falls early in the set before the Broncos would take the set 25-12. After the match, Bella Wille who finished with 6 kills, 3 aces, and 2 blocks, says the win against the younger Viking team helps boost the Broncos confidence
Madison Wille had 10 kills, 5 blocks and 2 aces in the match. Gracie Swenson 9 kills and 2 aces and Lola Valenzuela finished with 5 aces as the Broncos improve to 10-2 on the season. They will play at the Duluth East tournament tomorrow as they will play 4 matches in total and are in a pool with Princeton and Duluth East. For LBF, Anissa Wimmer had 2 blocks and 1 kill as they fall to 1-6 on the season. The Vikings play 4 matches next week with the first being on Monday against North Woods at home with the JV match at 4:30 and the varsity match at 5:45.
