Littlefork-Big Falls at International Falls

The second meeting between the International Falls and Littlefork-Big Falls volleyball teams took place on Monday night at the Falls High Gym and was heard on K104 and rjbroadcasting.com and seen on Your Live Event.com.  The Vikings got a good start to the match as they built a 10-6 lead, but the Broncos chipped away and won Set 1, 25-19.  It was all Broncos in Set 2 as they won 25-13.  The Falls scored the first 7 points of the third set, but LBF battled back and made a set of it.  The Broncos had 3 match points leading 24-21, but the Vikings erased those three match points and eventually had a set point at 26-25.  However, the Falls would not be denied and won the set 28-26 and the match 3-0.  After the match, Bella Willie from the Broncos, who had 5 kills and 2 ace serves, talked about what the team needs to do over the final games of the regular season

Olivia Thostenson had 14 kills and 2 blocks, Gracie Swenson 8 ace serves, and Kale Taylor 18 set assists for the Broncos who play in Deer River on Thursday in a match that can be heard on K104 and rjbroadcasting.com.  For the Vikings, Destiny Piekarski had 16 kills, 4 blocks, and 4 ace serves, Anissa Wimmer 3 kills and 3 ace serves, Karlie Gustafson 8 sets assists and 2 ace serves.  The Vikings are back on the floor tonight as they host Chisholm at 7:00.
