BBB Mahnomen-Waubun at Ada-Borup-West

Ada-Borup-West got back into the win column with the 81-59 victory over Mahnomen Waubun Thursday night.   The final margin of score was the largest all night and not indicative of the game played.    There were eight ties in the first half. Mahnomen-Waubun had an early four point lead with Ada-Borup-West scoring transition baskets for the only lead change of the night at 17-16 midway through the first half and a 35-34 halftime score.  The score stayed within 4 points at 46-42, the Cougars connected on two posessions of 3-point plays and a quick 52-42 lead with 12:29 to play.  The lead grew to 14 when the Thunderbirds came flying back with a 7-0 run, 58-51 with 8:58 to play.  Ada-Borup-West took a timeout and built the lead to 72-53 with 3:18 remaining.   Ada-Borup-West imporves to 14-2. Mahnomen Waubun is 5-11 and will play Clearbrook Gonvick Friday night and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Saturday.   Ada-Borup-West, ranked 10th in Class “A” will travel to play top-ranked Cherry Saturday afternoon.  The game Saturday will be broadcast on KRJB 106.5 and rjbroadcasting.com providing audio streaming.
