NCE/U-H at Ada-Borup-West

Jerran Madson’s two run single in the top of the seventh capped a three run rally as Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal defeated Ada-Borup-West 9-7 Thursday in Twin Valley.

The Titans led 5-2 after three and a half innings, but Ada-Borup-West fought back to lead 6-5 after five innings.  Each team scored a run in the sixth inning to make it 7-6 Cougars going into the top of the seventh.  Makenzi Jay led off the Titan seventh with a triple and scored two outs later.  Then Reagan Oberg and Annabelle Begg singled, setting up Madson’s game-winning hit.

Begg had 4 hits in 5 at bats with an rbi for NCE/U-H, with Oberg going 3 for 4 with 4 runs scored. Olivia Theis was the winning pitcher in relief for the Titans (9-9).

Avery Johnson and Joee Jones both had three hits for Ada-Borup-West (6-9).  Callie Solseng took the loss for the Cougars.  She allowed 13 hits and nine runs (six earned runs), with two walks and three strikeouts.

Ada-Borup-West concludes the regular season Friday with a game at Crookston.
