Underwood 3, NCE/U-H 0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-14)

Underwood advanced to the quarterfinals of the Section 6A volleyball tournament Wednesday with a three sets to none victory over Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal at Underwood.

The Rockets broke a 7-7 tie in the opening set with an 8-0 run on their way to a 25-13 victory.  Underwood’s Ezrah Baker had three consecutive kills to start that run.

Then in set two, an 8-8 tie was broken when Underwood went on a 7-1 run.  The Rockets went on to take set two 25-19.

The third set was all Underwood as Liz Lucken had five kills and Brooklyn Christianson four as the Rockets completed the sweep 25-14.

Baker and Lucken had ten kills apiece for Underwood, with Christianson and Kallyn Grove getting seven apiece.  The 22-6 Rockets host New York Mills in the quarterfinals Friday night.

Izzy Klemetson had 13 kills and a block to lead the Titans, who end the year with a 10-9 record.
