VB: Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal 3 Climax-Fisher 1 (25-19, 19-25, 25-18, 25-20)

Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal began a six game road trip Thursday with a three sets to one victory over Climax-Fisher in Fisher.

The Titans jumped to a 4-0 lead in the opening set and won it 25-19.  Climax-Fisher tied the match in set two 25-19 as Halle Reitmeier had three kills for the Knights.

Midway through the third set, Climax-Fisher lost middle blocker Peyton Hoffman to a sprained ankle in a collision with a teammate.  The eighth grader did not return….finishing the game with seven kills, a block and an ace.

Claire Brambrink and Izzy Klemetson had four kills apiece for NCE/U-H in the third set as the Titans won 25-18.  Then in the fourth set, Klemetson had eight kills–including six during her team’s 10-1 run as the Titans rallied to take set four 25-20 to win the match.

Klemetson finished up with 16 kills and one block assist for NCE/U-H (3-8, 3-3 in the Pine to Prairie Conference).  Reitmeier had 11 kills for the Knights, who are 4-7 overall and 1-3 in the conference.

NCE/U-H returns to action Monday night at Rothsay.  Climax-Fisher plays at Mahnomen-Waubun on Tuesday night.
