Northeast Range at International Falls

The Bronco Girls Swim team had a last-minute change in their season opening meet when the FHS pool was shut down due to mechanical issues. Northeast Range agreed to have the Broncos travel down to Babbitt to ensure a meet would happen.
The Varsity Bronco Girls Swimming Team won 59-31 and the JV won 40-35.
The girls had many top finishes and six personal best times. All three relay teams got first place finishes. 200 Medley: Liz Jantzen, Quianna Ford, Havyn Pelland, and Jillian Bilben
200 Free Relay: Gracie Bowles, Quianna Ford, Havyn Pelland, and Jillian Bilben
400 Free Relay: Gracie Bowles, Liz Jantzen, Havyn Pelland, and Jillian Bilben
All the Bronco Senior Captains grabbed a top first place in an individual event
Grace Jensen: 100 Back
Havyn Pelland: 100 Fly
Gracie Bowles: 500 Free
Other first place finishes went to sophomore Jillan Bilben in the 50 Free and sophomore Quianna Ford get 1st in the 100 Breaststroke.
Head Coach JJ MCBride says that assistant coach Ari and I are proud of how our first meet turned out. The girls showed up and were ready to swim, It showed with both the JV and Varsity win. Our younger girls are improving daily, it was fun to see them in action at the first meet. It was great to see fans back in the stands, get personal bests, and take home a win in our season opener.
