Oak Grove at Central Cass

The Central Cass Squirrels hosted the Oak Grove Grovers in a Region One Volleyball contest Tuesday night. The Grovers spoiled Pink Out night in Casselton with a straight sets victory: 25-19, 25-17, 25-17. Oak Grove used 9-1 and 6-1 rallies in the first and second sets respectively to get the wins. Oak Grove opened the third set on a 9-0 run to surge ahead. Central Cass closed the lead to just a few points, but the Grovers finished off the match with an ace.

Ella Olson and Mari Bolme led the Grovers with a combined 17 kills and seven blocks. Aspyn Kjos also tallied five of Oak Grove’s eleven aces in the victory. Elise Wisnewski, Braiden Pyle, and Carlie Schneider all chipped in three kills each to lead the Squirrels. Wisnewski also tallied four blocks in the losing effort. Oak Grove has the next week off before hosting Enderlin next Tuesday, while Central Cass will look to bounce back at Grafton on Thursday.
