VB: Park Christian 3 Fertile-Beltrami 2 (22-25, 25-19, 11-25, 25-11, 15-10)

Fertile, MN — The battle of the Falcons was on Thursday night between Fertile-Beltrami and Park Christian and it was a doozy.

The first set saw Fertile-Beltrami make a 6-0 run in the middle part to take the lead and it looked like it was easy going for them but Park Christian made a late push to make things interesting but the comeback fell short and Fertile-Beltrami won 25-22. The second set was much like the first but in favor of the Falcons from Park Christian. They held off a late push and won 25-19 to tie the match up 1-1. Fertile-Beltrami would then have an answer in the third, dominating with their up front block and won 25-11. Park Christian would then do nearly the exact same thing in the fourth and by the same margin 25-11 to tie the match 2-2. In the fifth set, Park Christian gained the early momentum taking a 7-4 lead and they would hang onto that lead for the rest of the set winning 15-10.

Park Christian is now 3-1 on the season and will play at NCE/U-H on Monday the 11th. Fertile-Beltrami falls to 1-2 and the will play at home next Tuesday against Sacred Heart.
