Pequot Lakes had runs of 15-0 and 10-0 in the first half to build up a 36-18 lead at the break, and then held on for a 54-46 win at Foley.

The Patriots hit seven shots from behind the arc to propel the 18-point halftime lead, but Foley’s 2-3 zone defense clamped down in the second half. After PL hit a three to start the second half, giving them a 21-point lead, Foley held the Patriots to just 8 points in the next 12-plus minutes, chipping away the lead. But Pequot Lakes defense stayed strong, only allowing the Falcons to get within six, with only 40 seconds remaning.

Brayden Spiczka hit five threes and led the way with 17 and Clay Erickson scored 15 for the Patriots, who improve to 9-1 on the season and 2-1 in Granite Ridge Play.
