Pillager at Albany

The #12 seeded Pillager Huskies had an upset on their mind as they traveled to take on #5 Albany. However, the Albany Huskies were able to prevail in a tremendous battle 3-2 to end Pillager’s 2024 season.

Albany tallied a pair of runs in the bottom of the first with three straight singles. Pillager tied the game in the top of the third as with two outs, Eli Miller drew a walk. Kaden Imdieke ripped a RBI double down the right field line, and Lucas Hoglin followed that up with an RBI single. Albany answered in the bottom half of the inning with a leadoff triple and RBI single.

Both teams had chances but neither would score the rest of the way. Eli Miller took the loss on the mound, striking out 6 while Owen Sunderman earned the win for Albany striking out seven.

Pillager finishes the season at 9-12 and graduates four seniors from the roster.
