Rainy River MBB at Fond du Lac

The Rainy River men’s basketball team went into the weekend in first place in the North Division and they remain in that spot after winning a pair of games.  On Friday, the Voyageurs dispatched Fond du Lac on the road 109-82.   Key-lin Nelson led Rainy with 23 points and Faizon Francis added 21.  On Saturday, the Voyageurs were back at home to take on Hibbing.  Rainy River controlled both halves as they won by a final of 92-70.  Once again, Key-lin Nelson paced the Voyageurs as he scored 20 points while Stephan Mereus added 16.  The Rainy River men are now 13-4 on the season and 6-0 in the North Division and will host Mesabi Range on Wednesday night at 7:30.
