The Hillsboro/Central Valley Burros scored in each inning they came to bat while their pitching and defense limited the Enderlin Eagles in the Burro 13-2 victory. The Burros collected 15 total hits in the game and would score a pair of runs in each of the first three innings before erupting for seven more runs in the fourth. The Eagles runs came on a third inning two-run homerun from Amethyst Billing, but the Eagles were only able to put one other runner into scoring position in the game with the Burro defense and pitching keeping the Eagles from rallying. Coming into the game the Burro’s Peyton Quam was tied for the HCV softball program single season steals record, after walking in her first plate appearance she stole the first of two bases in the game to set the new single season record.
