VB: Sacred Heart 3 at Ada-Borup-West 1 (25-22, 25-23, 21-25, 27-25)

East Grand Forks Sacred Heart defeated Class A 6th ranked Ada-Borup-West Thursday night in Ada, three sets to one.  The visiting Eagles multiple options hitting attack took advantage of inconsistency by Ada-Borup-West in the first two sets.   The Cougars led set two, 15-10 then fell behind 23-19 before a 23-23 tie with the Eagles scoring the final two points.  In the third set, Ada-Borup-West played from behind but with more consistency rallied for the set win.  With momentum on the Cougars side,  set four saw 14 ties with the Eagles earning the victory to improve the record to 2-1.  Ada-Borup-West is 1-1 with two road matches next week before hosting the Ruth Hayden Tournament Saturday September 9th.    Ada-Borup-West will also be hosting matches in September to honor 50 years of volleyball.   More information will be in the coaches show interviews with Coach Jim Lee on KRJB 106.5 and Your Live Event this week in addition to on-air sports reports and sports pages at rjbroadcasting.com
