Sacred Heart at Mahnomen-Waubun

The Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbirds saw a 21 point lead turn into a 5 point lead but were able to hang on for a 66-59 win over Sacred Heart.  The Thunderbirds held for the majority of the game building a 13 point lead in the first half and a 21 point lead in the 2nd half.  Just as the Thunderbirds seemed to have things in hand, the Eagles turned on the defense creating turnovers and hitting threes to turn a 21 lead into 5 points with 22 seconds left.  Mahnomen Waubun would force a turnover and make free throws to end out the game.  Mahnomen Waubun is now 4-10 while Sacred Heart drops to 10-5.
