The Kimball Cubs cracked three home runs in advancing to the 6AA semifinals with an 11-1 win over Pequot Lakes.

The Patriots kept things competitive through the first five innings. But with a 5-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth, Kimball used strong hitting and took advantage of some Pequot Lakes miscues to score six runs and not allow the Patriots another chance at the plate.

Senior Ali Leither hit for the cycle and drove in four to lead the Kimball offense, while Riley Fischer got the win in the circle allowing just four hits and striking out six while also belting a home run.

June Ruud had two of the four hits for Pequot Lakes. Kessa Eggert drove in Kelsi Martini for the lone run, and Georgia James took the loss.
