Region 2 Volleyball Tournament in Larimore

Thompson 3, North Border 0 (25-15, 25-8, 25-10)

Thompson’s volleyball team began its road back to the State Class B tournament Monday with a three sets to none victory over North Border in the Region 2 quarterfinals in Larimore.

The Tommies jumped to a 12-3 start in the opening set and continued to roll from there.  Senior Brenna Martin had 16 kills and four blocks for Thompson, with seven kills and a block assist from Abigail Olson. In all, Thompson had 34 kills, eight blocks and 11 service errors in the game.

North Border’s Keira Moore had six kills and an ace for the Eagles.  North Border ends the year with a 12-11 record.

Thompson (25-10) takes on Grafton in the Region 2 semifinals Tuesday night in Larimore.
