Level 3 Predatory Offender to Move to Brainerd

The Brainerd Police Department has been notified by the Minnesota Department of Corrections of a Level 3 Predatory Offender that will be residing in the Brainerd City Limits. 

Tyler Steven Jav 28 vears old, anticipated move date is January 31, 2022. Jay is intending to reside near the Intersection of Highway 210 and Gillis Avenue. 

Tyler Jay engaged in separate incidents of sexual contact against known and unknown male children. He used his relationship of trust to exploit unmonitored access with the known victims. He used his position of employment to exploit unmonitored access with the unknown victims. With all victims, Jay used their confusion and naiveite in his efforts to maintain control. 

Due to Jay previously residing in the city of Brainerd a community notification meeting about Jay will not be held. 

Public Fact Notification Sheets will be available at the Brainerd Police Department and that same information will be posted on the Brainerd Police Department Facebook Page. The Brainerd Police Department would like to remind people that Jay is not wanted by police at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear in the community, but to keep the public informed. Police also ask that the public report criminal activity by this offender or any other individual by calling 911..
