ADA, MN—Officials from Ada and Norman County met Wednesday afternoon in Ada to prepare for possible flooding over the next few days.  Norman County Emergency Manager Garry Johanson has the latest.

Johanson was asked if there are any places in Ada that are vulnerable to flooding.

Johanson says there are no current plans to make sandbags in Norman County, but adds the bags and sand are available if needed.

Checking the flood information from the National Weather Service, the Wild Rice River at Twin Valley is expected to reach flood stage—ten feet—Thursday morning and reach a peak of 11 feet after midnight Friday.  Meanwhile, the Buffalo River near Dilworth is expected to reach flood stage of 13 feet Friday afternoon and peak at 22 feet Tuesday morning.  And the Red River near Hawley is expected to reach flood stage of eight feet around 7pm Thursday and peak at ten feet Saturday afternoon.  Keep tuned to R&J Broadcasting for the latest weather updates.
