Pillager School Board Discusses Student, Staff Returns From COVID

Following Monday’s school board meeting, we spoke with Pillager Schools Superintendent Mike Malmberg about the reorganizational meeting. Board officers remained the same, with Sara Nagel as Board Chair, Becky Bennett as Vice Chair, Steve Uban returning as Clerk, and Brian Grimsley as Treasurer. School Board compensation remained the same as well at $2400 per year.

In the regular meeting, the discussion centered on staff and students returning following an illness with COVID-19.

The CTC Center will host a presentation on suicide awareness in early February titled “My Ascension” wtih Emma Benoit presenting her experiences.

Conversation also included talks on superintendent evaluation, the process of hiring coaches for sports, and the upcoming Snow Week. More information with the full interview online.
