Red Lake Falls Superintendent Reflects on the Past Year

During a Year In Review interview Red Lake Falls Superintendent Jim Guetter looked back at the 2020/2021 school year and noted the challenges successfully met and those that many school districts face as we move into the future. With the exception of 10 days last year, The Red Lake Falls school was able to maintain in person learning in spite of Covid-19. They have been able to keep students in class each day this year as well. Guetter also mentioned substantial completion of a major building project in the elementary as another positive for the school. He talks first about in- person learning throughout covid.

Enrollment numbers stayed about the same as last year in grades K-12 at Red Lake Falls school.

Bus driver shortages across the state and the nation have created transportation issues for school districts but Red Lake Falls Superintendent Jim Guetter stated that the good news is the federal government recently announced it is allowing changes to licensing to make it less restrictive. If approved by the state, it should alleviate the bus driver shortage somewhat.
