Robbery in Brainerd

On 12/28/2021 at approximately 6:02 pm a 21-year-old male, who is a resident of Brainerd, reported to the Brainerd Police Department he was a victim of a robbery that occurred in the parking lot of Bane Park, located on the 1700 block of S.7th Street in Brainerd. 

Information provided to investigators is the victim met with the suspects in the parking lot and a firearm was brandished in an attempt to rob the victim of his personal items. The victim alleged multiple suspects were involved, some of which were known to him. 

Investigators identified one 19-year-old male suspect who resides in Hillman, MN and on 12/29/21 this individual was taken into custody in Buffalo County Wisconsin for a Crow Wing County arrest warrant related to this investigation. 

It is believed the victim was intentionally targeted and no public safety threats have been identified. This incident is still an active investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the Brainerd Police Department.
