Tina Smith pushing for Rural EMS Bill 

U.S. Senator Tina Smith says that she is pushing for Senate Bill S.3236 also known as the “Emergency Medical Services Reimbursement for On-Scene Care and Support Act.” which aims to reimburse the cost of ambulance services. 

Smith says she has been working alongside a rural EMS task force, and is confident that the bill will have bipartisan support. 

Senate Bill S.3236 was introduced to the Senate on November 7 2023, by Senators Peter Welch (VT), and Bernie Sanders (VT). Minnesota Senators Tina Smith, and Amy Klobushar have co sponsored the bill.
