Two Local Students Receive Minnesota Sheriff’s Association Scholarships

Crow Wing County Sheriff Scott Goddard announced Thursday, Jan. 20, two local college students, Jennifer Strack of Brainerd and Jenna Lawin of Holdingford, were awarded $2,000 in scholarships from the Minnesota Sheriff’s Association.

The association gives special recognition to the financial needs of students attending the peace officer skills course or one of the two or four-year law enforcement degree colleges. The association states it recognizes the importance of pre-entry training for people considering a career in law enforcement.
