An Indiana man robbed a woman then asked her out on a date on social media. Police say Amber Beraun was checking her mailbox when Damien Boyce held her at gunpoint. She gave Boyce roughly a 100 dollars in cash then he demanded she add him on Facebook. The man proceeded to message Beraun and said he’ll pay her back then eventually asked her to come chill with him. Boyce was charged with robbery and is being held on bond.
Police say 32-year-old Stephanie Merola was getting ready to take a shower when she heard a buzzing sound outside the bathroom window. She went outside to see what was making the noise and that’s when she noticed a drone flying right outside her bathroom window. As she walked towards it, the drone tried to fly away but struck a tree and crashed to the ground. Merola picked it up, noticed there was a camera, and then smartly dunked it in her pool to disable it. She reported the invasion to police and, after an investigation, determined the drone was piloted by 49-year-old Christopher Jones who lives nearby with his mother. Police paid him a visit and said Jones admitted he was operating the drone. He was arrested and charged with video voyeurism.
