Yanmar Compact Equipment North America Breaks Ground For Expansion

A compact equipment manufacturing facility has broken ground for expansion in Grand Rapids. Yanmar Compact Equipment North America will add a 32k-sq-ft addition to allow growth in the manufacturing of ASV compact track loaders and Yanmar compact track loaders. It’s expected the project will add hundreds of jobs over the next 5 years. Part of the expansion adds a more efficient, more environmentally friendly powder paint system. The facility will expand the parts manufacturing capacity up to twice the previous space, and will increase paint capacity by 3 times. The expected completion date for the project is spring of 2024.
