New Exhibit honoring life of Korean War veteran set to open at Becker County Museum
The Becker County Museum will be opening a new exhibit later this month that will honor the life of a Callaway resident U.S. Army Sgt. Vernie Ambrose Zurn who went missing in action during the Korean War in June of 1953. Bethany Vareberg of the Becker County Museum tells us more about the life of Sgt. Zurn.
Vareberg says the exhibit will be open for 19 days total and will include artifacts from Sgt. Zurn’s time in the service including his Purple Heart.
The exhibit will again open on Tuesday, May 28 at The Becker County Museum which is located at 714 Summit Ave, in Detroit Lakes. The Museum is open from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday and admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children aged 1 to 18.
