JAMESTOWN, ND – Central Cass is heading to their 11th state championship game in program history with a 4-3 win over Beulah.
Whitney Mitchell picked up the win, giving up 3 runs on 5 hits, 1 walk and 12 strikeouts. Brady Bosse had a 2 RBI in the bottom of the 5th inning and Aspyn Prien added another RBI on the next at bat. The Squirrels held off a late run from Beulah as the Miners scored 3 runs in the top half of the 7th inning. Cassidy Christensen flew out to Sophie Scherweit in centerfield with the tying run at second base to end the contest. Beulah plays Velva-Drake/Anamoose for 3rd place at 2 p.m.
