The East Polk North Stars stayed alive in the Section 8A Softball Tournament with a 6-2 win over East Grand Forks Sacred Heart at Red Lake Falls. Ava Howard, Kianna Tadman, Vanessa Johnson and Lexi Mahlen each had two hits for the North Stars as they improved to 18-5 overall. Brynlea Mahlen picked up the win in the circle for East Polk. Izzy Cwikla had two hits for the Eagles as they end their season at 13-10. EGF Sacred Heart graduates only two seniors from this years team. The North Stars will next face Red Lake Falls in another elimination game.
