Mahnomen City Council Meets

MAHNOMEN, MN—Mahnomen residents will soon be able to get text messages when there’s an emergency. At Monday night’s Mahnomen City Council meeting, the Council approved buying a program that will send text alerts.  Mahnomen City Administrator Taylor Guenther has more.

In other business Monday, the City Council approved an application to split the lot where Mahnomen’s City Hall and Library are located into two lots.

Also on Monday, the Mahnomen City Council approved buying new Christmas light decorations, as well as spending a total of $1593 for nine tree grates for Main Street.  And you can mark your 2025 calendar—Wild Rice Days will be August 23 next year.
