Take A Kid Fishing Week runs January 15-17

(Minnesota) — ‘Take A Kid Fishing Weekend’ returns Saturday, January 15th through Monday, January 17th where Minnesota residents can go ice fishing for free if they are with a child 15 years old or younger.

According to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, Minnesotans 15 years or younger don’t need fishing licenses any time of the year. The DNR also reminds you to stay up-to-date on the latest regulations and helpful tips on ice fishing and ice safety on their website.
