Aitkin County Sheriff Guida offers snowmobile safety in monthly update

(Aitkin, MN) — The beginning of 2022 has been tragic and difficult on Aitkin County snowmobile trails with multiple incidents and fatalities occurring.

In our monthly chat with Aitkin County Sheriff Dan Guida, he mentioned that despite the troubles this winter, help from local snowmobile groups have been essential for snowmobile safety.

Snowmobiles runs from local groups have also given Sheriff Guida a chance to enjoy some of the finer moments of outdoor recreation.

Sheriff Guida did also take a moment to remind everyone that speed precautions are vital.

Trail knowledge can also make a difference in making it to your destination or ending up in a dangerous situation.
