Parker Brock Scored on a one yard quarterback keeper with 7:54 left in the third quarter to lift the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves to the 18-12 win at Fosston on Friday night. It was homecoming for the Greyhounds and they played a solid game that came down to the final play of the contest. Alex Daigle scored on a one yard run with 3:37 left in the first quarter to give the Wolves a 6-0 lead but Fosston would answer on a 19 yard touchdown pass from Thatcher Palubicki to Cullen Norland with 4:52 left in the second quarter to tie the game at 6-6. One of the big plays in the game came on the final play of the first half when Eli Pfeiffer connect with Logan Watts on a 32 yard halfback option touchdown pass to give W-H-A a 12- 6 lead heading into halftime. It appeared the first half would end with a 6-6 tie but both teams committed a penalty to give the Wolves one more chance at running a play. The Greyhounds tied the game at 12-12 on a 19 yard touchdown run from Ethan Gray with 10:16 left in the third quarter. The game ended when a Thatcher Palubicki pass was intercepted in the end zone to end the game. The two teams were a combined 0 for 5 on two point conversions. The Wolves won the game despite turning the ball over four times. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley improves to 1-4 while the Greyhounds fall to 0-5 on the season.
