UMC Library Named After Roger Moe

A crowd at Kiehle Auditorium at the University of Minnesota Crookston wished former State Senator Roger Moe a happy 79th birthday Friday as the University’s library was named after him.  Moe said naming the library after him is a tribute to his parents.

MInnesota US Senator Amy Klobuchar was among those in attendance Friday, as was former Minnesota Attorney General Skip Humphrey.  

When Humphrey ran for Minnesota Governor in 1998, he chose Moe as his running mate. Moe served in the Minnesota Senate for 32 years….22 of those years as Senate Majority Leader.
