Brainerd Man Arrested For Threatening Poeple With a Hatchet
A Brainerd man allegedly threatened several people with a hatchet late Monday night. He faces several felony assault charges. Thirty-two year-old Alex Waed Coleman was arrested after a 911 call reported a man who had an axe and was acting in a threatening manner. When officers arrived, Coleman and three adults were in the driveway. One of the adults had reported the incident Coleman refused to comply with requests to exit the residence, instead heading back inside. Officers were able to safely remove two children and Coleman’s grandmother from the home before going inside and arresting him. Coleman has a number of previous felony convictions. He’s being held on a $60k bond.
