Aitkin County Board to choose Chair, Vice Chair at first 2022 meeting

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners will format their 2022 Board and update their procedures and appointments during their first meeting of the year on Tuesday January 4th.

Following adjournment of hte 2021 Board, County Administrator Jessica Seibert will call to order the 2022 Board Meeting with nominations for Board Chair and Vice Chair being a part of the meeting.

The Consent Agenda will include scheduling County Board of Appeal and Equalization, Reserve Request Correction, a resolution for K9 Loki to remain with handler Sergeant Greg Payment and an OPJ Grant.

CFO Kathleen Ryan will speak with Commissioners on an Electronic Poll Pad Purchase and Environmental Services Director Andrew Carlstrom will present a grant from Greater Minnesota Recycling and Composting and open talks on Chronic Wasting Disease/Carvid Farms Public Hearing.

Administrator Seibert will be back to talk on resolutions for 2022 Board of Commissioners Meeting Procedures, Designation of Official County Newspaper, 2022 Committee Appointments, and 2022 Board Meeting Schedule.

The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meets at 9am Tuesday, January 4th from the Government Center Room.
