(Aitkin, MN) — Aitkin County CARE will be zesting up daily activity with a focus on socialization with a new program for the month of May called “Aging with Gusto”.

In speaking with CARE Executive Director Lynne Jacobs about the classes and the topics that will be discussed.

The classes will be held in Aitkin and McGregor, in cooperation with the McGregor ANGELS.

Jacobs mentioned that being active, both mentally and physically, are some key contributors toward ageism that can generate needed conversations.

‘Aging with Gusto’ also opens the door for older adults to get back to socialization, not only after a long winter, but long isolation from the pandemic.

Aitkin County CARE will host ‘Aging with Gusto’ classes May 9th, 16th, and 23rd from 10-11:30am. The McGregor Angels will host May 11th, 18th, and 25th from 11am-12:30pm. Both locations will be in-person and also have online availability. To register for these classes, call CARE at 218-927-1383 or the Angels at 218-768-2762.
