Aitkin County Economic Development setting lofty goals, initiatives for 2022

(Aitkin, MN) — Even just a few months leading Aitkin County’s Economic Development group, Mark Jeffers has big goals and plans for 2022 in helping business and communities grow.

In our conversation with Jeffers, he first noted that helping promote tourism in Aitkin County starts off with helping current businesses stay relevant. 

2022 also promises to bring new initiatives for Economic Development, with the Aitkin County Board of Commissioners passing their Strategic Plan.

Some of those initiatives include strong focuses on housing, child care, and broadband development.

Jeffers also mentioned in our conversation that Economic Development is also working on a project promoting all of the wonderful features of Aitkin County.
