Aitkin County Habitat for Humanity readies to hit the road for Toolin’ Tour on May 22nd

The AItkin County Habitat for Humanity is calling on all motorcycles and classic cars to join and raise money with the Toolin’ Tour set for Sunday, May 22nd, starting at 11:30am in Aitkin.

We spoke with Aitkin County HFH Executive Director Anne Schwartz about the need for funding for Habitat for Humanity homes in the current market.

Toolin’ Tour Organizer Phil Tange outlined the starting route of the ride that will cover the many corners of Aitkin County.

The route for the Toolin’ Tour will also go through to Jacobson, the Mark’s Bar in McGregor, Glen near Mille Lacs Lake and the Pine Inn before returning to Aitkin. Ginger Peterson also spoke on donated items on the silent auction that will be held at the Aitkin American Legion.

The Aitkin County Habitat for Humanity Toolin’ Tour starts with registration from 10-11:30am at the Butler Building in downtown Aitkin. Following the ride, food will be prepared at the Aitkin American Legion at 4:30pm with the silent auction to follow.
