Aitkin DARE Office Returning to School

(Aitkin, MN) — After getting a small sample of getting to know Aitkin 5th graders this past spring, Aitkin Police Officer Joe Fuhrmann will be returning as the Department’s DARE Officer for the 2022-23 School Year.

We recently chatted with Officer Fuhrmann about how becoming a DARE officer meant going “back to school”

With the training from the DARE program, Officer Fuhrmann is tasked with speaking a wide range of topics.

The DARE Program has also evolved from the basic “Don’t Do Drugs” to more up-to-date issues.
