(Aitkin MN) — Assistive Technology for older adults and making their lives more independent while making sure of their safety covered our monthly conversation with Aitkin County CARE.

We spoke with Sheri Cooke from the Lighthouse Center for Vital Living on some of the defining terms for Assistive Technology.

Setting up technology to run through home assistant devices has been one major focus for the Center for Seniors in their homes.

Cooke also elaborated more on setting up smartphones to help with tasks around the home.

Assistive technology is also helping with peace of mind for older adults and families with tracking their well being through different works.
